Rupert Alexander Lloyd Grint (Watton-at-Stone, August 24, 1988) is a British actor.
He is most famous for having starred in the Harry Potter saga, in the role of Ronald Weasley.
Rupert is the largest of the five sons of Nigel and Jo Grint Parsons. He has one brother and three sisters: James (born 1990), Georgina (born 1993), Samantha (1995) and Charlotte (1998). He attended St Josephs Primary School in Hertford, and then the Top Hat Stage School. Before participating in the film Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone had played only in a school play. Big fan of the books of J. K. Rowling, Grint was so determined to get a part in the film that sent the production a video shot by himself dressed as a professor, asking to participate in the filming in rap music. Grint won the selection with the video and then managed to get the role of Harry's best friend, Ron Weasley. Ron Rupert has played in all the films in the series: Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II. In 2006 he played the starring role of the young Ben in the movie Travels with Evie.
On 9 July 2007, Rupert, along with colleagues Emma Watson and Daniel Radcliffe, left the imprints of hands, feet and wand ceremony "Hands, Feet and Wands," which took place in front of the Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood.
In 2008 it was announced that Rupert would be part of the film Cherrybomb alongside Robert Sheehan and Kimberley Nixon. The film was released in theaters in Great Britain April 23, 2010. In 2008 Rupert was in the movie Wild Target with Emily Blunt and Bill Nighy, playing the role of Tony: the film was released in June 2010.
Grint is involved with charity, with clothes and donated works of art for charity auctions and participate in the Wacky Rally in 2010, with James and Oliver Phelps, which raised money for England's Royal National Lifeboat Institution
He was hired to play in the movie Eddie Edwards Eddie the Eagle.
On January 6, 2011, Grint made an appearance in Come Fly with Me.
In 2011 it was confirmed the participation of Comrade Rupert in the film.
On March 18, 2011, Rupert appeared in a sketch comedy about Red Nose Day 2011 with Tom Felton, George Michael, Justin Bieber, Keira Knightley and former prime minister Gordon Brown.
